Services Provided to Child Day Care Providers, Programs and Parents

Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCR&Rs) provide services to parents and child day care providers through a network that serves all areas of New York State.

Services vary from county to county but may include:

• Referring families to child day care providers
• Monitoring registered child day care providers
• Offering technical assistance and support services to child day care providers
• Helping families make informed child care decisions
• Offering educational programs for parents and child day care providers
• Maintaining data on licensed and registered child day care capacity
• Assisting child day care providers in meeting Office of Children and Family Services requirements for medication administration
• Providing Health Care Consultation services
• Administering the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
• Enrolling legally exempt providers
• Training child day care providers
