Services Provided to Child Day Care Providers, Programs and Parents
Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCR&Rs) provide services to parents and child day care providers through a network that serves all areas of New York State.
Services vary from county to county but may include:
- Referring families to child day care providers
- Monitoring registered child day care providers
- Offering technical assistance and support services to child day care providers
- Helping families make informed child care decisions
- Offering educational programs for parents and child day care providers
- Maintaining data on licensed and registered child day care capacity
- Assisting child day care providers in meeting Office of Children and Family Services requirements for medication administration
- Providing Health Care Consultation services
- Administering the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
- Enrolling legally exempt providers
- Training child day care providers
